PhD · Responsible AI & Research Support
I bridge academic research and research support — helping researchers and institutions navigate EU funding, build ambitious consortia, and ensure their work creates genuine scientific and societal impact.
"If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough." — E.J. Sirleaf
I am a PhD researcher in Responsible AI transitioning from academic research into research support, grant advisory, and science policy. My work sits at the intersection of AI, privacy, critical social theories, and research infrastructure — combining deep technical expertise with a genuine passion for inclusive, open science.
As a former Marie Curie ITN fellow and active leader within the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), I have first-hand experience with EU funding mechanisms — from writing and co-writing NWO, COST Action, and MSCA Doctoral Network proposals, to coordinating 27-partner international consortia across academia, industry, and civil society. I know what it takes to navigate the competitive EU research landscape from both sides.
I grew up in Tunisia, have lived and worked in four countries, and bring genuinely cross-cultural skills to everything I do. As a former chair of the MCAA's Gender, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (GEDI) working group, I liaised with EU policymakers and advocated for inclusive, responsible research environments across Europe.
I am currently based in the Netherlands (actively studying Dutch, targeting B1 by Q3 2026) and open to research support, grant advisory, open science, and policy roles.
